Smartmusic

Smartmusic is state of the art practice and evaluation software.  The software is free and an annual subscription costs $36 for students.  Computers in the music building are equiped for students to use, but you are also invited to purchase this for home use.

Kjos Interactive Practice System

Tradition of Excellence is a statement of our band program and the title of our beginning band book.  It comes equipped with IPS - Interactive Practice System.  This software package is impressive, and I think you should plan to use it.  Included on the CD are instructional videos, a PDF version of the book, and the ability for the student to play along with each lesson.

Play It Again Arkansas

Play it Again Arkansas is a resource that helps provide quality used band instruments for students who cannot afford them.  The parent applies for assistance, and the student provides an essay of why he or she would like an instrument.  Should an instrument be provided, it will be for the specific student's use.  When the student graduates or otherwise leaves the band program the instrument becomes property of the school.
